Ruffled Nuno Felt Scarf Kit - Starting with a base of shimmering silk chiffon, learn to felt wool to the surface to create a unique, light weight scarf that is full of texture. As the wool shrinks during the felting process the surrounding fabric will develop beautiful ruffles, ripples and poofs! The kit comes with pre-hemmed 18" x 72" silk fabric (shrinks to 60" scarf) and merino wool fiber. You will need a felting mat at least 24" x 8'...see wet felting equipment.

Nuno Spiral Wrap Kit... coming Spring 2010 $24.95
Starting with a 36" square of shimmering silk chiffon, use merino wool on the surface to create a stunning design with lots of ruffles and texture. After felting, cut the square in a special spiral shape so that is wraps around you as a shawl or scarf. Kit comes with instructions, pre-hemmed silk fabric and merino wool fiber. You will need a felting mat at least 38" wide and 48" long.
Choose the base color fabric with complimentary Merino wool colors.

Create your own fanciful 3-D felt fish (about 16" long) and learn a whole range of fun wet felting techniques while you are at it. Learn how to make seamless, three dimensional felt, add surface to resists to create fins, and add fibers, fabrics and yarns to the surface for embellishment. Kit comes with everything you need including detailed instructions, wool fiber, fish patterns, embellishment materials and a felting mat (bubble wrap). All you need is water, a couple of towels and dish soap.

This kit combines the best of needle felting and wet felting to create beautiful pictures in wool. We provide an otline pattern to help you lay out the design. Transfer it to a "canvas" of flat needle felt yardage and needle on bits of colored wool fiber to create your imagery. Once you are satisfied with the composition, wet felt the picture in hot soapy water for about 10 minutes and you will have a durable masterpiece that can go on a wall, or on a pillow front, bag or other accessory. Kit includes detailed instructions, pattern for your chosen design, 18" x 18" pre-felt base, a bag of assorted fine wools, felting needles, and wet felting mat (bubble wrap).
